At 16, I began my art education at the Corcoran Institute, then attended the California College of Arts and Crafts (now the California College of the Arts). While in the Bay Area, I also worked as an assistant to several glass artists and designers, gaining experience in a wide variety of techniques.

I traveled to Murano, Italy to study the techniques of present day glass masters as well as the history of glass blowing. Later, I was privileged to study art with a master of painting, Professor Silvio Loffredo of The Florence Academy of Art. My European journey then took me to England to learn innovative British glass blowing techniques at the renowned International Glass Centre in Brierley Hill.

Returning to the US in 1994, I designed and built my own glass studio in Portland, Oregon, where I am able to pursue my passion full-time. I strive to share my love of glass with my apprentices and students, and to create a variety of designs that bring beauty, color and joy to those who appreciate glass art, novice and experienced customers alike. Many of my pieces have the added benefit of offering practical function in the home and garden.
