After toiling for years unhappily at a corporate food service job, the management sent out a memo restricting our wearing of jewelry. "No more than two small rings per hand." "Earrings must be no larger than a quarter." Jewelry has always been very important to me, so as you c an imagine I did not like this at all. As my quiet way of sticking it to the man, I made earrings for myself and my co-workers out of quarters. These "spite jewels" actually looked pretty great! I started designing more and more jewelry out of coins, began to grow my business, and in August 2012 I quit that corporate food service job to make jewelry full time! Doing what I love for a living has been a true joy and I am constantly thanking the universe ♥
