How much does it cost to sell?
There is a $25 application fee. Each day you sell you will pay daily fees of
$45 on Saturday and $25 on Sunday. You are charged
Monthly Membership fees for being on
the Fill-In List. These monthly fees vary depending on which number you are on
the list so please refer to the “Fill-In Fees” section of the Member Handbook
for more information.
What is your Guest Member
Program? This is an
option if you would like to try out PSM before committing to a regular
membership and for artisans who live more than 100 miles from Portland.
How do I apply?
Submit an
application, check the
Product Guidelines for your craft,
$25 application fee and no more than 3 samples of your product to the market
office. The review process takes approximately 1 week.
What is the PRC?
The Product Review Committee
reviews all products before they can be sold to ensure that they meet Portland
Saturday Market guidelines. The committee consists of market artisans. You
must pass both the office jury, as well as the on-site jury for membership at
PSM.
How do I start selling?
After your products are approved, you can start selling by reporting to
the Information Booth at 6:40 a.m. Saturday, or 8:10 am Sunday, and sign your
name on the New Vendor List. You will attend a new vendor orientation and then
wait for your name to be called so that you can pick your spot for the day.
Hours of operation?
Portland Saturday Market is open
on Saturday from 10 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:30 pm. We are
open every Saturday and Sunday, March thru Christmas Eve.
What is the Fill-In List?
The Fill-In List is the seniority list used by Portland Saturday Market to
decide which order vendors pick their spots each morning. New people are added
to the bottom of the Fill-In List after they start selling.
How do you allocate spaces on
the weekend? Space
is allocated to vendors based on seniority using the Fill-In List. Vendors need
to check in at the Information Booth by putting an “x” next to their name on the
Fill-In List before 7:30 on Sat. and before 8:30 on Sun. After your name is
called, you will pick your spot for the day.
What are Festival Days?
Holiday Festival Days are the weekdays that the Market is open
immediately before Christmas. The dates vary from year to year so please refer
to the current Festival Days Calendar located in the Member Handbook or the
Membership Calendar.
How do I get a Reserve Space?
After you have sold 15 times, you are eligible to submit a Reserve Space
Application. Reserve spaces are limited and are allocated based on seniority
and availability.

How do points work?
The Market uses a points system for both Reserve Space allocation and for member
position on the Fill-In List. Attendance points accrue at 1 point per day
selling for a maximum of 40 points per year. Seniority Points accrue at 3
points for every season you sell at PSM but requires at least 6 days of
attendance. Jobs and Committee Points vary depending on type of job.
How do I apply for a
Jobs-for-Points position?
Submit a Jobs- for- Points
application to the Market office. Most jobs are filled prior to the start of
each season. Occasionally volunteers are needed throughout the season to fill
temporary positions so you can submit and application at any time.

Is there storage available?
Storage at PSM is limited and usually there is a waiting list. Please submit a
storage application once you are approved for membership. You will be
contacted by the Site Manager when space becomes available.
Do you provide tents and tables
for rent? Portland
Saturday Market has a limited number of canopies and tables for rent. You can
reserve a rental canopy or table by signing your name on the Tent Rental List
located at the Information Booth. You will need a credit card for a deposit of
$300 on the tent. Cost is $25 per weekend, $15 per day.
Can I pay fees with a debit or
credit card? No.
You will need to bring cash or a check.
